dmcq presents a new collection called "from here through there and back", an interpretation of travels through andalucia, berlin and tanger. The streets, signage, walls, maps and traversing of barrios and paths walked, are represented through acrylics, charcoal (incidentally taken from the ashes of olive branches burnt on the campo of alozaina) and arranged as mixed media collages.

Generally of an abstract nature, the surfaces are often reworked, with paint dripped, thrown and scored to create intense textures, shapes, so creating spontaneous fusions of colour. This fusion and colour reflect the movement, tone and rhythms inherent within the free form music listened to and played during the painting process.

The oils are applied to canvas with palette knives, hands and trowels. The works are never planned, they are in the moment and the resulting shapes and colour satisfy the need for spontaneity and the desire for simplicity. This spontaneous expression captures the imagination, illuminates its surroundings - creating forms which immediately immerse the surrounding space.

dmcq presenta una nueva colección llamada "de aquí para allá y de vuelta", una interpretación de viajes a través de andalucia, Berlín y Tánger. Las calles, señalización, paredes, mapas y desplazamiento de barrios y senderos, se representan a través de los acrílicos, con carbón vegetal (por cierto tomada de lascenizas de ramas de olivo quemadas en los campos de Alozaina) y dispuesto como collages de técnica mixta.

Por lo general de naturaleza abstracta, las superficies a menudo son reelaboradas, con pintura goteada, y arrojada para crear texturas intensas, formas, creando fusiones espontáneas de color. Esta fusión y color reflejan el movimiento, el tono y el ritmo inherente a la música escuchada durante el proceso de pintura.

Los aceites se aplican al lienzo con espátulas, manos y paletas. Las obras nunca son planificadas, se realizan en el momento, las formas y los colores resultantes satisfacen la necesidad de la espontaneidad y el deseo de simplicidad. Esta expresión espontánea captura la imaginación, ilumina su entorno - la creación de formas que sumergen inmediatamente el espacio circundante.
