COMMENTS
Hi Julia,
the parcel arrived, in best condition. Marvellous piece of art, I´m really happy with it.
Everything fits perfect together and it´s unique and handmade character makes it to something very personal. I'm looking forward to your next collaboration. Greetings to Steven and special thanks for the extra gift.
I hope to soon have the oppurtunity to see him performing live.
Thanks a lot!
Wish you a beautiful festive season
Greetings
Alex

Hi Juliia thanks a lot for The Continuous Accident,
received safe and sound! A lovely package, truly inspiring photos and a
great piece by Steve - I am impressed. I was expecting a great package,
my expectation were exceeded - by far! I wonder why I have waited this
long to get the release.
Compliments to Steve, too, and thanks for the extra gift.

After
a year and more of uhming and ahhing, the priviledge to attend the
recent Koko gig, and a good selling run on't'bay, coupled with the
knowledge that the supply was running low I finally broke down, gave in,
and surrendered the requisite stash of paypal euros to Julia Kramer and
patiently awaited my accident with that nagging doubt that always accompanies A Large Purchase...
I needn't have worried of course - this package is fantastic! Housed
in a large cardboard folder, I carefully removed everything eager to
see - for me - the prize that is the Stapleton painting.
From
what I've seen of other sets all the paintings are a variation on a
portrait of an acid-fried embryonic-alien-vampire (?) theme, mine in
sick-earth blood-spattered tones, and though I suppose many would
suggest otherwise I find mine to be very beautiful indeed. Now the
challenge to find a suitably ancient frame to put him/her/it in.
Julia's photos are - for the most part - lovely, and present that
trippy, sidereal feeling that NWW have a habit of producing aurally -
when you know the world your seeing is the one you're used to, just
somehow a little *different*. An excellent visual interpretation of the
NWW sound, down to the one image which is definitely NOT lovely - a doll
and dead fish heads echoing the Shipwreck Radio imagery.
I'm a big drone'n'noise fan, but The Continuous Accident cd
itself is EVIL! A hour of mounting drone menace puntuated infrequently
yet insistantly by horror-film-shock-scene string stabs, the effect of
which is in no way lessened through repeated listenings due to the
random spacings.
Anyone who has not acquired this through nefarious means and to whom
it remains unheard would recognize this track as forming the backbone
of the 'May The Fleas...' live disc, but whereas it's a more muted
affair when used live, the base track presented here really is quite
twisted and mean, and on chemical-adventure days this disc will be
locked away safely out of reach..
My set is no.45 out of the fifty, so stocks are dwindling for anyone
still hesitating like I was. But for me this was a fine purchase
indeed!

Hi Julia,
The
collection arrived safely today and looks quite stunning! I really
enjoy seeing these sorts of imaginative juxtapositions in photography,
which seems rare these days in spite of the vast amount of image
manipulation that is used constantly. The painting somehow reminds me of
the duck headed archons that Georges Bataille found portraited on
ancient coins - terrifying and terrific in equal measures. I have yet to
listen to the cds (many thanks for the bonus one), but I am somehow
sure they will be fitting soundtracks for translating English surrealist
Leonora Carrington, which is my task at hand.
Thanks again and best wishes,

I've just come back from the post office with one well-packaged
Continuous Accident in hand. WOW! is about all I can manage at the
moment. The geeky collector in me felt bad about breaking the seal on
the package but I realized this was the only way I could see thE
collection. Well, everything is very impressive, as I anticipated and I
was quite pleased to see one of the photos that was on the website
originally then removed at some point - the doll'shead mounted next to
a large industrial pipe. I couldn't tell you why I was
drawn to that image, I suppose it's the juxtaposition of the "delicate"
doll's head next to a large piece of plumbing. Oh
and I rather like Steven's painting! I'm
very pleased, many thanks to
you and to Steven for making this collection available! All
the best, Ed,

THE
CONTINOUS ACCIDENT arrived safely at my place of work today. After
spending more than a few minutes discerning the least intrusive method
by which to open the portfolio, I was pleased to find the wonderful
cache in excellent condition. Many
thanks, Jacob,
